Meet Dr. Josephine Kang
Laser Specialist at Sigma Dermatology
Dr. Josephine Kang is a board-certified radiation oncologist who received her MD-PhD degree at New York University School of Medicine. She completed residency at the Harvard Medical School Combined Program where she was trained in physics and radiobiology. Subsequently, she joined Weill Cornell Medicine as the Director of Clinical Research and served on the New York Presbyterian and Weill Cornell institutional review board starting in 2016. She is an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Department of Radiation Oncology and Department of Radiology. Dr. Kang has authored over 50 manuscripts and book chapters. She has been the recipient of numerous research grants, including a National Institute of Health R01 grant to study imaging and immune correlates of MRI-based prostate radiotherapy. She is familiar with the application of lasers for cosmetic skin treatments and avidly keeps up with the latest in cosmetic dermatology.
